My Home City And My Fav Place to Detect

Swansea Beach

On this day, it was a right stunner for any detectorist, and for this Welsh metal detectorist, I was over the moon with the weather and had the best day ever. Found two silver rings, heaps of money, and took some great shots of the bay while sipping on my coffee, and enjoyed the good vibes.

Langland Bay

Winter Detecting In The Sun

Went down there the other day on my lonesome on a very cold winters day but it was sunny and found some modern coins with my trusty Minelab Vanquish 540 but not a great deal more and nothing to scream amazing things about on here but like Arnie says "I'll be back!", because when it comes to Langland, one of my favourite beaches down my neck of the woods, i love going down there anyway to check out the amazing views and scenery but then I find it a very zen place especially to detect so i hope you enjoy the photos that i took while I was down there.
Pembrey Beach

Full of JellyFish And Not Much Else

This place is a stunner of a beach but i found it to be annoying to be dodging jellyfish and detecting at the same time. Not ideal place for kids if you ask me but great place to just have a day to detect as it's a very long beach and i couldn't even do most of it due to weather and so many people being on it so in the end i kind of gave up and went home. Like all other beaches i have done, I want to try this place again.

Videos

Here is a collection of my Youtube videos and random videos that I made on my mobile phone and want to share with the world. Get watching!

Llanelli Beach

This is my local beach and even though I have done it a few times, I find it too rich in iron more than trash and one of my pet hates, HOT ROCKS, so I usually avoid this place like the plague when I got the chance to go out detecting but on this occasion, I managed to get out one day in the week and thought I struck gold. Found out later what it really was, and I have never been back to that dreaded beach since.

Swansea Beach

Swansea beach is probably the best beach in South Wales for metal detecting, and I go there usually every week, so if you ever see me down there, don’t forget to say hello and ask me what I found, as I love people who find my hobby as interesting as me.

Pembrey Beach

First time detecting down this beach, not far from Burry Port, and boy did my daughter and I get the shock of our lives when we clapped eyes on these massive jellyfish. Check out the video and tell me how freaky it looks. Still won’t put me off going down there with my metal detector, just will have to keep an eye out when I swing the coil all over the place as I have already been stung once and don’t fancy doing it again.

Swansea Beach

Love to swing my coil over this beach, as Swansea beach is probably the first beach I found my first real bit of treasure on, when I found this huge silver ring, and a silver Pandora bracelet. Great place for beginners and any age to go down and try your luck. I prefer the wet sand! Get detecting!

Burry Port

Had an amazing time down Burry Port last weekend, when I spotted a great day to jump on the chance to get out and about down Burry Port beach.

On this particular day I found a great little find and some modern coins. Didn’t expect much from this beach as it was small, and rocky and didn’t have much hope for it and then after an hour or two I snapped my scoop handle so now have to use my old one now when I hit Pembrey or Swansea when I go out next week when the weather gets better for me. See you out and about soon guys!
